Who should attend Speed Mentoring?

Speed Mentoring is a FREE event, open to the public.

If you are a professional woman looking for guidance and a healthy dose of salty wisdom, we’ll have a room full of leaders across industries with valuable insights that will actually help your career!

On the fence? This will be the FINAL event hosted by LWT. It’s now or never ladies.

How does Speed Mentoring work?

Each mentee will spend 7 minutes with several mentors of her choice. Mentoring slots are offered on a first-come first-serve basis, so get there early to have first dibs. Arrive on time for the best selection and connections. 

Before you Arrive at Speed Mentoring:

  1. Come up with your 30-second story to describe who you are

  2. Prepare a list of questions you want to ask of the mentors

  3. Take a few minutes to review the list of mentors (below) and select 2-4 of your top candidates

  4. For the other mentors think outside your comfort zone, you may be surprised what you can learn from a leader in another industry!

Tips for an Excellent Evening

  1. Come prepared with your 30-second story to describe yourself and your list of questions. 7 minutes goes by fast!

  2. Be ready to enjoy the company of the other event attendees! The women who come to LWT events are fabulous, so take advantage and make some new connections.

  3. We’ll have drinks and appetizers at the event, so we’ve got you covered if need a nibble.

  4. We’ll also have FREE professional headshots, so come prepared!

Event Agenda:

5:30pm - Registration Opens & Happy Hour

  • Register at the building entrance (we’ll be checking you off the Eventbrite RSVP list)

  • You will also receive stickers with your name for selecting mentor sessions

  • Proceed through the room to the mentoring grid to select your mentors and schedule your mentoring sessions

  • Sign up for free headshots with the fabulous

6:30pm - 8:30pm Speed Mentoring Sessions

  • Spend 7 minutes with each mentor

  • When you are between mentoring sessions, mingle, snack, have a glass of wine and network with LWT board members and other attendees

  • Come ready for great conversations and new connections!
